NOC issues

I have recently done a network scan with NTM (it is AWESOME, buy it!) to enable me to map out the network.

Having done all this, created the maps and transferred and tidied within Network Atlas I now have a NOC with 5 tabs showing various parts of our network.

The problem is, it cycles round the tabs 2 or 3 times then sticks unable to load the resource. I have clicked to show a cached version of the map whilst it loads but to no avail.

As it stands I am having to remain connected to the PC streaming the NOC to refresh the browser each time it hangs.

Any ideas?

To be clear I use Firefox Tab Slideshow, It's an add on to the Firefox browser.

Is your SQL database on the same server? Are you using SQL Express?

I have seen customers do this using Firefox as the browser. Can you provide a little more detail on your environment?

Using IE 11, but is the same on others

I would see about using Firefox. jotsusa‌ was able to get the screens to rotate using firefox without issues. IE not sure it has that capability.

Separate SQL server, full fat version.

I don't see how this is a fix. The NOC is built to cycle through the tabs you setup within the web console...from what you are saying I should install another browser, and a plug in to then workaround this issue,.....

We originally went with Firefox because of Internet Exploder was not as reliable/Secure with other Tools we were using at the time. I believe we set this up during 10.2 or even version 9. We have had great success with it.

As far a using the NOC view feature, you may be overloading on occasion the Orion Server with other various operations and products. Does the page/graphic/map not load at all to give you the error?

That is a good point, it could just be load on the server.

There is no error as such it just displays a frame and a red 'x' I do have the license for the separate webserver so will hurry up and get that installed too!

I would be interested to see if the additional webserver makes a difference. I was talking with the solarwinds federal team last week at a conference about additional webservers and the advantages of using them verse directly off the Orion Core.

Think we are going to use the FF with plug in route as a short term solution.
