SG350 Cisco 28Port Switch - SNMP Issue

Hello,

Trying to get our SG350 Switches to play nice with SolarWinds. We are utilizing version 2c for SNMP and other devices work fine, but can't do anything with the SG350 even though the options are there.

Here is the config:

snmp-server server

snmp-server location "**"

snmp-server contact "**"

snmp-server community madrone ro xx.xx.xx.xx view Default

snmp-server source-interface traps vlan 3

snmp-server source-interface informs vlan 3

snmp-server host xx.xx.xx.xx version 2c xxxx

When I do the "test" on the connection, it no worky. Can someone please help with this?

I wouldn't recommend posting IPs and community strings in a public forum.

As for why it doesn't work, the device may not be providing info for the OIDs in the SNMP request. There are three OIDs which need to exist on a device for the test to even pass:

1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1 sysdescr
1.3.6.1.2.1.1.2 sysobjectid
1.3.6.1.2.1.1.3 sysuptime

Have you seen this article is the SNMP service enabled?

Yes - the service is enabled on all of them - still no go.

Appreciate the recommendation - I removed the IP/CS from original post (and attachment).

Unable to determine if the OIDs are in place with this device. I see the article but is there an easier way to find this information?

If I remember correctly on older versions, once you configure/enable SNMP on these, you had to reboot to get the settings to apply (it wasn't documented anywhere, but needed to be done). It was on older versions of hardware and code, but it might be an option.

Maybe you need to remove the IP restriction from the SNMP configuration. I realize you have an SG350, but all those small business SG's run the same code. Little things like this are why I no longer suggest/use them, the "cost" is not worth the "price."
