Anyone know how to create a "status light"

I have a MIB which monitors various dry contacts throughout our Datacenter. Currently it shows up in Orion as either a 1 or a 0. Does anyone know of a way to have this show up as a "status light"? For example if the value is 1 then I have a green light, if the value is a 0 then the light goes red.

Actually, you can't quite do red/green. I was wrong on that. But you can do something. In APM 3.0, we added an SNMP monitor.

This component monitor uses the SNMP protocol to retrieve an entry in a Management Information Base (MIB) by its Object Identifier (OID), and returns the value of the entry as a statistic.

You can use that to fetch a single OID and then create an app that will show green or critical based on the 0/1 stat returned by the OID.

Universal Device Pollers are used for statistics, not status. There's no way to do what you're looking for with NPM. In APM, you could, if you happen to own that, too.
