Network Performance Monitor (NPM)
Linux Redhat 9.0 and NET-SNMP 5.1.2
jkeberle
As we all know Orion causes NET-SNMP version 5.1.2 to go into a race condition and when its running in debug mode the following is what I get over and over.
host/hr_storage: ... get storage stats HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrStorageAllocationFailures.2
trace: header_hrstoreEntry(): host/hr_storage.c, 383:
host/hr_storage: var_hrstoreEntry: HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrStorageAllocationFailures.2 1
(index 2 ....HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrStorageAllocationFailures.2
trace: header_hrstoreEntry(): host/hr_storage.c, 433:
host/hr_storage: ... get storage stats HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrStorageAllocationFailures.2
trace: header_hrstoreEntry(): host/hr_storage.c, 383:
host/hr_storage: var_hrstoreEntry: HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrStorageAllocationFailures.2 1
(index 2 ....HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrStorageAllocationFailures.2
with that said everyone says that version 5.0.9 is stable which it is..
However if i just take the source tree and compile it on the Linux box I loose the ability to monitor applications running on the system as well as being able to monitor the volumes.
So is there a version out there that is stable and provides me all possible monitoring capabilites? Also for version 5.0.9 does someone have a set of links to all of the RPMs and its dependancies?
I have had a hard time tracking down all the dependent RPMs for Netsnmp 5.0.9's RPM.
