For the past month, random UPS devices throughout our Agency are showing to have rebooted\restarted. The dates\times all vary.
However when we examine the Management interface of the UPS in question, it shows no restarts at all.
We are concerned as to why NPM is reporting a reboot event, when it appears that it did not actually occur. NOTE: The UPS devices do perform self tests, but no where do we specify that the Management interface should restart.
Second NOTE: I have performed a manual restart of a UPS interface, and have confirmed that a restart of the interface will generate the same alert message.
All of our UPS devices are APC SmartUPS models, with the standard APC Network Management Card.
