When logging off from a remote desktop connection onto our primary polling engine I was surprised to see a error window complaining that the Cwodwinsocketwindow task was not responding. Research on the web suggests that this may be part of a freeware SSH/FTP application, but all our Orion servers were clean builds with only a few corporately enforced additions. Does this task belong to Orion? Is there a list of tasks that Orion calls? A list would certainly help us to be able to anticipate the result of pressing the End Now button and so minimising the risk to our production systems.
(I had logged on, run the NCM server app, looked at a few settings and then logged off. Clicking the End Now didn't seem to affect the server.)
