Alert me when a component goes down question

Hello everyone,

I am very new to SolarWinds.

We get a ton of alerts under the "alert me when a component goes down." The alert lists all the components for a few nodes.

Is there any way to structure this alert so that the alert gives you the node and when selected you can see the many components within it?

I appreciate any help.

Look at the email message that is sent. You can add Caption(Node) variable to the message and that will give you the node name.

As mentioned you can use the Node Caption variable to find the node of the component. I believe this is the variable ${N=SwisEntity;M=Node.Caption}

If you are after a URL link for the node which will show you all of its components, I believe this will generate the link ${N=SwisEntity;M=Node.DetailsUrl}

Or you can just use ${N=SwisEntity;M=DetailsUrl} for a link to go directly to the component.
