one-click disable for email/paging

It would be convenient to have a one-click disabling mechanism for paging and email alerts. Often we are aware of a problem, and we want to keep monitoring, but we don't want recurring emails or paging after we acknowledge it. We just want it logged to the Orion Event Log for display on the web page and statistical trending.

Conversely, it needs to keep emailing/paging as long as it takes until the alert is acknowledged.

 

Is there a way we can do that?

Would it work for you to have two separate alerts, one with a paging/email trigger action and the other with merely an event log trigger action, each alerting on the same trigger condition(s)? If you mark the message of each appropriately, you can acknowledge the email/page alert on the Alerts view of the web console while leaving the event log alert to continue alerting as needed.
