Orion server sends LOTS of emails after rebooting

When my Orion server reboots, it sends out alerts saying everything is UP. Is there anyway to stop it from checking right after a reboot? Or at least not to send out the alerts?

Disable alerting in system manager before your reboots. That should take care of it. Of course you have to remember to do that (which I always forget).

Add your Orion server to the System Manager polling, then create an alert suppression so that if the Orion server is down, no alerts are sent out.

This helps eliminate some of the false up alerts, but the best bet is as cshiver says, disable alerting before rebooting, then watch the events in SysManager after the reboot. Once things have settled down ~ 15-20 minutes, you can re-enable alerting.

Set your alert to fire whenever an interface is down/unknown, and reset when it's up/shutdown. If you alert on any interface changes, the alerts will be constantly triggered.

I see the events in the log whenever I restart the server that several elements are now responding...which has always made me scratch my head...but that's how I got past it.
