display graph of sql data change in dashboard

For an application monitored, I want to have an additional display of a graph on the data change in user database along side with other info, i.e. a graph showing how many users login over times so can compare server resource usage. The login data can be queried from the sql server user database. Is this doable? If yes, what's the steps to do that? I checked online docs and navigated around but couldn't find any clue, so ask here. Thanks in advance for any help!

You should look into using the SQL User Experience Component, give it credentials with read access to the database, write a query that returns the statistic you need (user counts, for example) and SAM will poll the number as often as you tell it to.

Thanks for your response. I did try that way using SQL user experience one, but found out it actually resulted in showing the performance of running that query, instead of any way to display the query result.

The "response" would be the performance of the query, the "statistic" would be the result of the query. It collects them both.
