NetPath - Internal Unmonitored device

Is there a way to tie IPs together on a device so that it is recognized as a monitored device even though it is monitored on a different IP. What I'm talking about specifically is our main firewall NetPath identifies it as an Inside IP address, but not the IP on which it is monitored. So NetPath knows it's an internal device, but doesn't know that it is monitored so I don't get any more specific information about the device.

it would be nice if a list of ip addresses was maintained for a device.

Exactly - it would save a lot of steps in troubleshooting. If my "internal device" were to show a problem in netpath seeing the information right there would be helpful rather than having to cross reference what that device actually is, then go to the NPM, find the device and then dig in. OK, so that's not really all that difficult, but it would be more convenient.

+1 I have the same issue and need devices already monitored by SW to display regardless of the polling IP / discovered IP

Do you have the option to think and act out of the box? Can you simply change NPM/NCM from monitoring the current interface and begin monitoring the Interface discovered by NetPath? It seems like that might give you the information you want.

Solarwinds is currently only viewed by the IT staff so I can do pretty much anything I want with it. I haven't really tried that, but I will. Thanks for the suggestion.

Just tried it and the Palo won't respond to SNMP on that interface - so there may or may not be a way to do this. I'll post if I figure it out.
