List Resources - No NIC

Hello,

I am monitoring a device with WMI as I need to monitor and alert on a Service. I've done this on quite a few on the servers in our environment but seem to have a problem with one particular server.

I've created an application monitor but it's showing as 'In an Unknown state'. I think this is because there is no network card for me to select.

When I look at List Resources there isn't an option for the NIC like there is on other nodes.

However when I search for the Node and click the down arrow, I can see that there is a NIC. This server definitely has a NIC, I've checked this out in VMware, I've also compared the MAC address shown in VMware and in Solarwinds; they are the same..

Can anyone shed any light on this?

It might be worth consulting support on this.

Try to switch to Agent-based monitoring, at least as a troubleshooting step.

The Agent worker logs are much easier to read too and isolate any issues/failures with polling
