Is there any way to have the network summary page automatically refresh?

I have created a new view that we are planning to put on a few monitors to display down nodes and alerts. Everything so far seems to be working well. I just tested with a computer by unplugging the network cable. I was expecting the view to display the change in status of this newly down node.

It wasnt until I manually refreshed the page that I saw the change in node status appear. This webpage is going to be left up all day. Is there any way to make the page automatically refresh itself every minute or so?

Under Admin on the webserver under Web Console Settings:

http://yourNPMServername:8787/Orion/Admin/Settings.aspx

It's under Page Refresh: Each page will automatically refresh every X minutes

Besides the default global refresh setting you could try:

http://yrefresher.software.informer.com/

With this in IE at least you can custom set the refresh for individual clients. As a work around this might speed up your refresh cycle for ops people to monitor a special display.

A common solution we put in place for customers is the use of Firefox with the Tab Slideshow plugin for displaying Orion on wall plasmas.

This setup allows for more than one page within Orion to be displayed on the plasma, with for example the Network Summary Homepage on one tab and the Top 10 page on another etc., with the plugin allowing you to automatically rotate through the tabs and to automatically refresh at whatever frequency you want.

Works well and makes much better use of a single display screen.
