feature request - ability to choose whether you collect error and utilisation stats on interfaces

hi SW

in system manager you used to be able to expand an interface, and choose to delete the error or utilisation pollers against that interface. The only other way to do this as during discovery

I do this to try and reduce unnecessary data and polling impact on the database and pollers.

Since system manager has now become almost pointless (which is fine, as i am a support of getting rid of it), but this feature has been forgotten in the webUI...

can you please fix it?

I am sure no one has asked for it, as only larget users would have any use for it, and most requests i suspect are driven by smaller users as there are so many of them... (another reason why we shoud have a specific forum for large users)

cheers. hoping this gets a level of priority as you are moving away from system manager, so SW at least needs to include the same functionality, even if it is slower...

In the web console if you go to web node management, select the node and select list resources, for the desired interfaces you can select what you want just like you used to be able to do in System Manager

yes mate, you can.... by try doing that on 500 or a 1000 interfaces ;-)

sorry dude, just noticed after the first email, you had suggested your reply as an answer. i am afraid it is definitely not an answer... i already knew about that functionality i had just not articulated it properly.. that functionality is what i meant by you can only do this in WebGui by going back to discovery (or list resources as you say)

generally I see the SW design and dev team only taking stuff out of system manager, when it is better in the WebGUI, I expect this time, they just did not realise they had made this mistake so would hope they will fix it… and lets be honest, it will be a pretty east fix fro them to roll out… expand interfaces one more layer to see the 2 pollers for errors and traffic… code is already there in list resources, just need it on the main interfaces/node management page
