The server only has NPM installed and it becomes sluggish, after a yr.
Any ideas how to improve the performance?
Windows update were performed on the server every quarter of the year.
Database settings are as follows:
Auditing Trail Retention: 180 days
Detailed Statistics Retention: 7 days
Hourly Statistics Retention: 30 days
Daily Statistics Retention: 180 days
NPM is only monitoring 20 nodes yet database is quite large. Would like to know the reason why?
1. C:/ is only 16.2GB free of 50GB. Is this normal? Currently it is polling as well as receiving SNMP v2 to detect any hardware failures for the nodes.
What is the recommendation for settings to prevent sluggishness?
Is the DB on the NPM server itself? What does the incoming syslog / trap rate look like?
