Nightly Database Maintenance

In the properties tab NETWORK PERFORMANCE MONITOR SETTINGS - in the Database tab - in the Night Database Maintenace time - I have it set to 2:15 a.m.

How or Where can I tell how long this maintenace is actually taking in number of minutes?

That is what happens with mine too...

Typically at 2:15 you would see the automated info message logged

On your Orion server check the latest Maintenance log file, C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion\swdebugMaintenance.log

Here are the lines inside that log.

2008-07-22 09:14:42,623 [1] INFO DatabaseMaintenanceGui.Program - Database Maintenance Starting.
2008-07-22 09:14:42,623 [1] INFO DatabaseMaintenanceGui.Program - Database Maintenance running in GUI Mode.

The timestamps shown here are about the time (earlier this morning) when I ONLY clicked the DATABASE MAINTENANCE dropdown for a query.

Seeing that the only choice was START, I then clicked the RED X to exit rather than START. But with this timestamp it seems it has actually started - does that look right to you?

C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion\swdebugMaintenance.log

First line:

2008-07-22 01:00:11,044 [1] INFO DatabaseMaintenanceGui.Program - Database Maintenance Starting.

Last line:

2008-07-22 01:43:02,777 [1] INFO SolarWinds.Data.DatabaseMaintenance.MaintenanceEngine - Database Maintenance Complete.
