Interfaces Added Event after Database Reboot

We have had an issue where occasionally our Orion database server will hard lock and to restore the system we power cycle it. When this happens I often see my polling engines report via an Event that all of the interfaces that are monitored have been added, is this typical or expected behavior?

Do you also see a matching Interface Removed events? Which version of Orion NPM are you using?

Following information is relevant for Orion NPM 10.1 (and older):

I remember cases where removed/added events were generated for all elements when NetPerfMon service (Standard Poller) was unable to refresh data from Orion Database. This might happen when SQL query used for refreshing elements from database returns zero rows and no error instead of reporting a real error - broken connection to the database (issue with ADO and VB6.0). Service then removes all elements from its memory, because from its point of view, it looks like user deleted all the Nodes. Once database connectivity gets restored and SQL statements, used for refreshing elements, start returning real data, it loads all elements back, which generates those "Added" events.

We are running on Orion NPM v10.2.2. Your explanation makes sense and I have seen this behavior before in previous versions of Orion. More than anything else I just wanted to make sure that this isn't some thing that I should be worried about.
