I want to have a report showing interfaces that have not passed any traffic since Dec. 31. Based on the screenshots, do I have my report done correctly?
Thanks for any help and advice.
Looks about right. Is it working?
It seems to me that you may be able to easily tweak this process I published in January of 2016, to focus on a specific date. You can also adjust which devices are included in the report by modifying the Caption section such that it includes all your devices, or all switches of a specific brand or model, or devices just in one location, or with specific words in their Device Name.
Obviously, the more devices you report on, the longer the report will take to generate. Check this out & see if it's easily modified to suit your needs:
How to create a report displaying the Last Time Data was Transmitted or Received on a Switch Port
The report is yielding data, but I realized that I am not sure whether I should have "less than" or "greater than" for the Timsstamp is I want data OLDER than 12/31/2016.
Thanks, rschroeder. I had forgotten about this one. I will try it. Did you find it absolutely necessary to use the numerous "Where" conditions, or could there have been a simpler way?
I don't know a simpler way--but there certainly may be one! I defer to others' expertise when they show me better ways, but plod on through when I don't get useful input from Thwack. My way seems a bit low-tech--but it works!
try this one,
choose time custom time frame,
and you will get result like this,
hope this will helps......... \m/.........
This is the way I did it previously while doing a migration. We also added a 'migrated' custom property.
