Advanced alert on customer poller data change

I need to receive alerts when the data received from a custom poller changes by a predetermined amount. I looked at this as a possible solution but couldn’t figure out how to make it apply to the data from the custom poller, or if it would even work at all. Any suggestions?

The suggestion on that thread involves inserting custom SQL directly into the database.  If you do that, you would need to query the table for your UnDP value.
