Maintenance/Mute Schedule on ALL nodes.

Good evening everyone,

We're having some issues with a small task that I hope you can help me on. We do weekly maintenance here and during that maintenance we want to mute all alerts from all nodes. It seems that every time we go do: Settings > Manage Nodes > Select All > Maintenance > Schedule and then create a schedule, it does not actually do anything of the sort.

So all in all, once the maintenance starts, we start getting alerts when they should've been muted. Is there any way to check if something is actually scheduled or is there a more appropriate way to handle the maintenance? We had to stick with disabling HA and then turning off the services at server level in order to get the expected result.

I think there is a bug where if you select all and it crosses multiple pages, it doesn't actually work. You have to schedule each page at a time.

An alternative option could be to pause all alert actions. From the ALERTS & ACTIVITY menu -> Alerts, in the top right corner click More, then select Pause actions of all alerts.

The alerts will still trigger but you shouldn't get any emails/messages/incidents/etc.

Otherwise you can look at using scripting to unmanage the devices.

Hi Brandon,

Yes you check check this by going down to the node after you have scheduled the maintenance and then under the node details page it does actually say something like:

'schedule maintenance for ServerA on **date and time scheduled**.

i think you can also check this in the nodedetails table in the application database when it is set.

If you dont see this being updated on the node i have seen issues where maintenance doesnt set or come out when setting in bulk. to resolve this i upgraded the system to the latest version.
