Need help with the Linux Perl template for searching keyword in a file

Hi All,

I have a requirement to search for a keywork in a text file which is on a Linux server. I m monitoring the server via agent.

I got this Linux Parser(Perl) but need some help as m not good in scripting.. i just entered like below without making any changes and its giving giving an error.

Note the file does exist in that location so i think there is some change needed inside the script to catch it correctly...

Resolved.. it was an account previlege issue..with root creds it worked, with sudo it did not...

There has to be more to the script than what is shown in the image.

i am using the default one... havent changed anything... so any clue what could be wrong...

In cases like this I usually use a super simple test script to validate that my connection is good and everything is in place, so I'd just do something like
echo "statistic: 0"
echo "message: test"

And see if I can get it to run that.

So u mean just remove everything and test with the 2 lines u mentioned?
