As many of you, I've upgraded from 8.1 to 8.5 and am having web issues. The problems I'm having, though, are multiple and annoying rather than hard failures so:
Search boxes for text are small. Basically, if I use the "Search for Nodes" and "Search for Interfaces" widgets, the actual space to put in the search terms is about 10 spaces long whereas it used to fill the available space I've assigned to the columns minus the size of the 'Search by" box and "Search" button.
Traps summary returns erroneous info. So, I have the "Traps Summary" widget on my front page. If I click on a trap type (or IP, if that's what I have it using or whatever), it just takes me to a blank search page without actually passing the specific trap type to the query. If I query for that trap summary via the web specifically, then it does not return correct information. Using the trap viewer fat client on the Orion server itself has no issues.
Edit boxes for widgets may or may not work. So, for example, when I tried to get the "Search for Nodes" widget to work properly I selected the "Edit" button. This does nothing but return me to the home page again.
I know the Orion team is working on the pass-through authentication but are there significant issues with the migration of the web sub directory that is being looked at as well? I'm certainly no web admin and I know that the release notes warns against custom relative references turning out bad but these are out-of-the-box web pieces that I haven't customized in any way (as far as I know.) Finally, I'm using a separate web server but the primary SLX engine loaded up the website as part of its install routine - not sure if that matters. Everything seemed to upgrade fine but...
Any suggestions on how to 'reset' the webpage so that the out-of-the-box components work properly?
Thanks,
Will
