Looking for some input on node drive space alerts

I am wondering if there is a way to simplify the way I am doing drive space alerts for the nodes in our environment. This is what I have currently setup for drive space alerts. 

1. I have node based alerting configured for a primary email address and a secondary CC email address. 

2. I have setup three custom properties for drive space on the nodes - Warning, Critical, and Full.  I did this so I could customize the drive space on each node. 

3. Here is the part that I think I can make easier but looking for some ideas. I have configured three different alerts for the different thresholds - so say Warning is 90% full, Critical is 95% full, and full is 99%.  Each time a node crosses one of the thresholds it sends out an alert that it crossed each of them which is normally fine but I was wondering if there was a different way someone else set this up?  I was hoping there was a way to set this up that if the drive gets to 97% full we only get one email - not one when it goes over 90%, then over 95%...

Hi. We do this pretty darn close to you! We have the custom properties on a volume, instead of on the node. This way, we can set thresholds.. well, per-volume.

To answer for limiting redundant emails, you can adjust your Alert Trigger logic so that your "warning" alert fires if the drive's free space is *above* the warning threshold *and* below the critical threshold. Then, critical triggers above that, but below full. Full, triggers above the full threshold.

You should also think about a "Default" in the event these custom properties fail to set. Even if you make them "Required" sometimes they will not populate. Such as if something is added via API. So either expand the above to think about a custom property being NOT null. But if it is null, then use a hard coded default like 10% free (or! Set up another alert to warn you when a volume is missing these custom properties. This is more maintainable and works great for enforcing consistency).
