Everyone,
In the Network Perfomance Monitor Settings, under the Network Tab, how does the ICMP time out and SNMP timeout setting work and what is a good recommended setting for that.
Correct me if i am wrong but if i have my ICMP timeout setting set to 2500milliseconds (2.5seconds), Orion will only wait that time and if it doesnt get a responce back, it goes into fast polling mode. I think it then sends out 3 pings to see if the device is actually down.
And i guess thats the same for the SNMP timeout as well..
