For a group of servers, how to see their available storage left all together. What view?

I'm trying to figure out a way to setup a group of servers such that I can see their drive space that is left on all of them after patching. Microsoft patches have been very large and making my systems run out of space, and I'd like to have a one-stop area for seeing this information.

Any help appreciated!

you can use Top XX disk space resource for this... it is be default available under Home-> Top 10

You could use "groups" or create reports or custom charts in order to combine multiple sources and to aggregate their values like in my example where I'm displaying the cpu load by percentage of 4 different servers combined:

The data is there, you just need to pull it out. Here is a sample query, I start with the "Volumes" table and tell it not to look at network devices (ie: NOT (V.Node.Category = 1)). You could probably do "(V.Node.Category = 2)" which I am pretty sure is servers, but I thought I'd be a little more comprehensive in my selection.

I also want to weed out disks that aren't disks, like RAM disks on devices, so I do that by checking to see if the "DiskQueueLength" is not 0. Once again, customize that to your needs.

The key part is associating your Group or Groups to the Node to draw out only the data you want. That is done by joining this with the "Container" table, which is where Groups are stored, and I choose to check and see if the group is in a list of groups by name.

You could drop this into a report, where you do it as an SWQL query, or put it in a resource as a "Custom Query" type and it should work for the most part, you might want more or less data returned, but I thought "Server Name", "Disk Name", % Available and Bytes Available would work. You should be able to transform these #'s a bit in the report writer.
