Issues with non-administrator user for SAM polling

Due to security requirements, I'm attempting to configure a SolarWinds domain service account that does not need administrative rights on each machine, and I'd like to avoid installing the agent.  The clients are primarily either Windows 10 or Windows Server 2016.  I currently have them polling by ICMP, and want to change them to WMI polling.

I followed the instructions at this LINK, and was able to complete steps 1-6.  However, on step 7b when entering the command Sc show <servicename/> , I'm receiving an error that the syntax of the command is incorrect.

I was also hoping to see if there were more specific logs for polling configuration, as when I attempt to convert polling to WMI I just receive a Test Failed error.

I'm running SAM version 2019.4.1.

Step 7 is vague. What I believe it to mean is that you need to manually modify the ACLs on some specific Windows services in order for your non-admin account to monitor their status. (Yes, each configured Windows service has its own ACL that specifies who can start, stop, restart, modify, audit, etc the specified service.) One you figure out which service might need this ACL to explicitly include your monitoring account, you would follow the commands in step 7, replacing the string "<servicename/>" with the name of the service that you are modifying. (Ignore the greater than, less than, and trailing slash symbols.) Note that most services have different values for their 'name' and 'displayname' attributes. Hope this helps get you in the right direction!
