Email Alerting

I am testing Orion in advance of purchasing the product. I have it on a Windows 2000 server, which is also running McAfee VirusScan v8.0i. This version of McAfee has the ability to prevent a machine from sending out anything on port 25. It can also be set to exempt certain applications. Does anyone know what .exe is generating the email alert within Orion?

Nice, we are just getting deploying 8.0i and the new EPO and I was wondering the same thing. Thanks!

I'm sure you fixed this by now but if you didn't try this:

On the server running Orion bring up the VirusScan Console via Program Files.

Right-click Access Protection and choose Properties.
Uncheck "Prevent mass mailing worms from sending email".

If you're using ePolicy Orchestrator or Protection Pilot you'll need to edit the policy for the server so it does not get enabled again.
