I need to upgrade the RAM and a few other things to my box that has sql and NPM on it. Is there any kind of shutdown order for turning the box off?? Do I need to stop services somewhere before just hitting shutdown to the server??
It wouldn't hurt to stop the polling service on your Orion servers before taking down the SQL server.
I've never had anything bad happen either way.
