HTTPS Monitor Question

I am setting up a few HTTPS checks and some are working and some are not. We are in a highly firewalled environment when the check is happening what device is actually doing the HTTPS request is it the Solarwinds Poller server or the host I have the check assigned to? I am thinking the firewall is not allowing the connection.

It's the Solarwinds polling engine doing the check.
