VoIP Monitor as General IPSLA Tool

Posted in IPSLA forum, but no response ... cross posting here because I don't really care where the solution comes from, just want it to come.

I really want an Orion integrated IPSLA tool. The fact that I can create universal pollers is OK I guess, but it is pretty clumsy.

The VoIP module would almost do what I want, much cleaner integration and configuration, and I would buy it today if it supported other probes like simple ICMP echo.

I actually like the VoIP module capabilities, but my primary interest is measuring delay to regional hubs and I have a lot (100+) remote sites that don't support IPSLA, so I just want a simple ICMP ECHO.

What does the future of the VoIP module hold? Any possibilities of "dumming" it down?

What kind of sites do you want to test against that are outside of your control. are they http, ftp, or some servers that you can only test with ICMP echo?

They are all mostly under my control ... all routers, but not all support IPSLA and not all do I necessarily need the additional MOS information, etc. ICMP would fit the bill entirely for me. I don't have a need for the other functions like HTTP or FTP.
