I've just been installing and configuring new mail gateway appliances, which rather unhelpfully will only send SNMP traps when issues with mail delivery occur.
Back when the new Alert Manager was being added in 11.5 - there was talk of it also including SNMP traps, is this still happening? In the meantime, is the best way still to use the syslog monitor application on the server? basically I would like the alerts it files to be in the same format as everything else. If there is a better way, please let me know!
For example, could i use a custom SQL Alert in alert manager?
