Fixed Disk Alert

Hello,

I have an alert about fixed disk.

This is what I have on the trigger conditions; where the condition must exists for 2 hrs.

Then the reset condition is below:

I am getting alert when disk are above the threshold at 70%.......... Based on the trigger condition the disk must reach at 93% and reset once the disk reaches greater or equal to 10%. Am I reading this correctly? if so, why am I receiving alerts when disks are at 70% full. If my alert is incorrect, you assistance is much appreciate it.

I do not see why you're getting alerts for when it's 70% full. Your config. looks correct. I've duplicated the alert on my end and so far I'm getting what I expect and haven't seen any that relates to what you have. I'm going to keep this alert running over night and see in the morning if I get any false-positives.I'll let you know.

Exactly. I do not understand why the alert is being triggered when disks reach 70% full. I traced the active alert that was triggered on the fixed disk and took me to this one. For one, I am looking at the right alert, but not sure why it's being trigger on servers whose disks are 70% full.

Your trigger condition is perfect, not sure why u are getting for 70%... can u try to duplicate this alert and re enter the % number and try? same time disable ur original alert...

I did as you suggested, will leave the alert as is for a day or so. I turned off the original one. thanks!

A little known caveat that you should know about is to use the "starts with" option due to the multiple Fixed Disk types.
