How to Clean Old Data in the DATABASE

I am facing a problem with my ORION Network Perfomance Monitor, I already check the log file "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\Mssql\DataMSSQL$SOLARWINDS\LOG" and I could found this "fspid74 CREATE/ALTER DATABASE failed because the resulting cumulative database size would exceed your licensed limit of 2048 MB per database", So I would like to know how to clean old data in order to keep the 2048 MB or to reduce space in the DataBase.

You actualy have several options. One you could gor through and try to delete old data. You accomplish this by simply setting the retention period shorter via the System Manager and File -> Orion Network Performance Monitor Settings then select the Database tab and move the retention slider as needed. If it is so close to the size limit then you will want to run a shrink job on the db first then a backup. This will free up some space and may allow you to delete some data. Or you could upgrade your SQL instance to SQL Express 2005 which has a larger db size limitation of 4GB.
