Apache (httpd) process Monitor on CentOS 7

Hi,

I'm running SolarWinds Orion v2019.4.

I'm monitoring the apache web servers on 4 CentOS 6.x servers and 2 CentOS 7.x servers using the swiagent.

I've changed the process Monitor on the apache2 template from the 'apache' process to the 'httpd' process.

On all servers, the component monitors in the apache2 template are working, except the process monitors (httpd) on the CentOS 7.x servers. Everything is set up the same on the 6.x and 7.x systems.

There doesn't seem to be a perl script configured for the process monitors.

I'm also monitoring mysql & mariadb on all servers and the process monitors (mysqld) are working.

On the CentOS 7.x systems, when I run 'ps -aux | grep httpd' or 'systemctl status httpd' it shows that the httpd process is running.

Any idea why the Process monitors (httpd) are failing on the CentOs 7 systems?

The first thing that comes to mind is if there are any command line filters set in the component or possibly permissions on the server itself. I ran into some deal a while back where the UID mapping on the Linux host was messed up and Solarwinds couldn't pull a process list.

A quick test would be to check if you can see the httpd process from the 'Real-time Process Explorer' on the server(s) in question.
