Has anyone used Solarwinds to monitor IP based CCTV Camera, do you know to what extent we can monitor it. Anyone with any experience.

I've done a bit but it's not that exciting. I have some IP POE cameras (and older IP encoders) that I can get basic SNMP info. We were mainly using it for the camera down problems with an over extended POE switch. When it comes to motion style of alerts I find the camera and email does a better job. We had an Axis model (I think) pushing out a SNMP trap but found it unreliable. What are you trying to monitor?
