ATM PVC's missing

We are a Nortel shop and have two Nortel BCN Routers that each have a single ATM OC3 circuit, one with AT&T and the other with QWest. Both interfaces are seen by Orion, but none of the VPI/VCI's in the Service Attribues show up. Is it that Orion doesn't support ATM?

ATM is supported, but the interfaces need to show up in the standard MIB for it. I'm monitoring several ATM interfaces fine on Cisco and Redback equipment. However, because there are a number of items to choose from on those, the AAL-5 layer is the best pick for the subinterfaces.

Orion does see our ATM interfaces and polls data from it, but it doesn't see the individual VCI stats.

Are you saying that you are getting stats on all of your VCI's?

We have this same problem with our Frame Relay. Orion can see the interface that the frame is connected to and provides stats, it also see's all of our PVC's, but we don't get any stats for the PVC's, it always shows at 0%.

I have the same problem with Cisco ATM circuits. I also have a problem doing utilization reports since the monitor shows the full bandwidth capability of the circuit and not what it's throttled down to. I'd be very interested in any solution to this.

In System Manager right click on the ATM interface and select interface properties.
At the top of the page are some sliders for the transmit and receive bandwidth of this interface. Just set it to whatever your PVC bandwidth is.

Right Click on the interface itself and choose Interface Details then modify the speed manually.
