I am having an issue fulfilling a customers request of monitoring an SSL certificate for a URL. The URL (example.com) is redirected to another website (redirect.com). I am able to access example.com/data without a redirect. That URL is able to provide the certificate that the customer is recommending we monitor and in turn alert if the SSL Certificate is X amount of days to expiring. I see no ability to change the SSL Certificate Expiration Date Monitor that would be able to fulfill this request. This machine in questions is a Linux box.
It seems that I would need to work with the UNIX team on adjusting this, if they want to ultimately go this route. This Linux device is currently not in Solarwinds. I was thinking that I can add it into Solarwinds and then add a SSL Certificate Expiration Date Monitor onto it. The problem is that even when I go to the example.com's IP via a web browser, I get redirected as well. I am not sure if this would work or not as the node in question is not inside Solarwinds currently.
Any suggestions and recommendations are greatly appreciated!
