License upgrade- 250 to 500...but still same version

Well we FINALLY ordered the upgrade to SL500...250 just wasn't enough. I do have a question, though...

For the upgrade, we were sent a full install...everything. I'm a little confused, now- do we need to uninstall the old version? Or can we just install the new SL500 directly on top of the old SL250?? We're already on version 8.5.1- so there is not a new version involved.

I thought this just would have been a small file, or patch...but a whole install? Any insight or direction would be appreciated. Thanks!

No need to uninstall. Just install over the top. The fact that its a whole install is a side effect of our licensing system. Most of the files are the same, so when you install over the top, only the files impacted by licensing will be updated.
