Issue with a ton of temp file usage

I have notcied that for quite some time NPM or some component of it will create very large temp files in your system temp location. I will several 1gb+ files at one time. They seem to not get cleaned up and will just chew away at a drive, I had to move my temp location off of the OS drive for this reason.

Since I have gone to NPM 10 this seems to have gotten even worse. I recently cleaned temp maybe a week ago but right now its about 10gb in size.

Is this normal? Should I be concerned?

mhhh, never had this with 9.5 (Win2003 32bit & Win2008 64bit) or 9.5.1 (Win2008 64bit)

Could you let us know names of files that consume the most of disk space?

Also, can you let us know the exact directory on the filesystem that the large files are living in?

Here is the answer to both questions. This is where I have moved the windows temp file location.

I'm seeing issue too. For us it's NCM leaving trash in the Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp directory.

NCM makes a directory for EVERY config change... and in it are 2 .gif and and 2.jpg files.

Cleaned out 2.3 GB, 15,534 files out of it last night.
