Shouldn't there be notification on the tree view or Nodes with problems that a Thin AP is down?
Looks like this might be a bug, if so I will enter the appropriate defect. In the meantime, could you use an alert to let you know when a Thin AP goes down?
I have set it up to send email and Text.
