Customize "Nodes with Problems"

Hi all,

I have a problem that I'm battling, and I'm sure I'm not the only one that's tried to do this.

I am trying to customize the "Nodes with Problems" resource, to remove the "Node Status", "Current Response Time" and "Percent Loss" columns - basically, just leave the Node Status Icon and Node name. This is because we have a projected overhead view, and real estate is scarce on the big screen

I've gone so far as to create a custom report that gives me exactly what I want, but I can't find a way to directly embed this in the Overhead view - the farthest I get is to get a link to the report, which doesn't help me.

Any ideas?

If you have the custom report, can't you pull that up via the web browser and just diplay that?

if you EDIT "Nodes with Problems", would a FILTER like this in the area of FILTER NODES work?

No, if I add that filter, I get nothing in the "nodes with problems" list. I would imagine I need to find a way to make a custom module (if that's the correct terminology) to display in the view.

you're probably right, you'll need a Custom Property - i haven't gotten there yet - i've only just started using Solarwinds.

but one last try...what if you build on that Filter?

NOT (Status LIKE '*' AND ResponseTime LIKE '*' AND PercentLoss LIKE '*') AND VendorIcon LIKE '*' OR Nodes.Caption LIKE '*'

....i don't actually have anything in my Nodes with Problems list right now (good thing) so using this Filter is my best guess for right now. hoping it might help you.
