Percent Utilization mismatch

On my home page I have a table that shows Interfaces with High Percent Utilisation and further down the page I have a table showing the Top 20 Interfaces by Percent Utilisation.

I have found that the readings on the Top 20 display go over the 100% mark and are clearly wrong however the display on the Interfaces with High Percent Utilisation stops at 100%. Is there any way to make the Top 20 table accurate like the High Percent table as it doesn't give the users confidence in the figures to see them going over 100% (see below for example)

I am getting a similar thing except I am getting over 1000% utilization! Curious if there is any solution or explanation for this? Thx!

I have seen this happening in 3 cases (not specifically with NPM):

- OID reporting octets in/out are wrong (IOS bugs) - unlikelly but possible.

- You need to flag the devices that support 64 bits counter . By default NPM considers interfaces and ports have 32 bits counters and on fast interfaces, these 32 bits counter wrap frequently and the delta between 2 polls generates wrong values. Use Settings / Manage Nodes / select node / Properties / Allow 64 bits

- the speed (used for Util % calculation) is wrong in the agemt. You can overwrite it in the NPM setting. Use Settings / Manage Nodes / select interface / Properties // Custom Bandwidth

Last 2 are by far the most likely explanations and there are many postings on Thwack about this.

I am continuing to see utilisation figures showing over 100% which doesn't give people confidence in NPM figures as a hole.

I checked on a device showing 128% today and the interface is configured correctly at 100Mbs, the device does not support the OID for 64 bit counters so what else is there I can check.
