Dears

i am using orion NPM version 10. The graphs of some of the nodes monitored are discontinued ( that is to say - not a continuoes line, random dotted readings are plotted every hour our two.

please advise

Basically you are seeing data gaps.

I would suggest to open a support ticket to look in deeper.We need to access your database to see what values were present during which the data gap occurred.

You have mentioned some nodes,are they coming from same vendor or multi vendor?Any recent changes made on the server?Or any upgrades?

Its hard to say from here.

Rim,

Take a look art this documentation. It will help you to understand what is causing the gaps and what you can do to help the situation. The best place to start looking is the SQL server's disk write queue lenght. If this metric is more that single digits there is an issue with the SQL server disk access.

No changes were made to the server and this problem is occuring with nodes from varying vendors ( cisco, huawei) note that some nodes of the same vendor get perfect graphs.
