Hi,
I am having an interesting problem. I just discovered that I have a Windows server that was running a REALLY old agent 1.9.186.0. This installation is corrupted. Nothing runs, and I am unable to repair/uninstall because it keeps prompting me for the 1.9.x install .MSI, which I do not have anywhere. I'm trying to upgrade it to the latest agent version. The upgrade is also failing because it needs the MSI for the for the old version to remove it first. So I'm between a rock and a hard place here. I have 3 possible options, any of which I would need advice on:
1. Get the old MSI to do a clean uninstall in order to upgrade the agent (preferred)
2. Find away to force-uninstall the existing agent using command line arguments/cmdlets/etc. (not ideal)
3. Manually uninstall - remove all files, registry entries, services, etc. (last resort)
Can anybody point me in the right direction for any of the above options?
Thanks.
