View/Manage Thin Access Points in Groups

I'm trying to view the Thin APs I have displaying in my Cisco 5508 controllers in a Group setting.

Environment: School board with Cisco 3500i APs. We do not have individual APs managed as nodes, they are being managed as thin APs.

I can't see an obvious way to get these thin APs to appear in the subnet-based Groups that we use for the individual schools. If it's possible, could someone help me out?
