grouping nodes , interfaces in web console

hello
can anyone explain me how to group nodes in web console like it live demo example on solarwinds site. i have way too much nodes so its not looking good.
Where is this grouping thing done ? in manual it says thru network discovery, wich i tried but all it does it copied found nodes to list i already did make no grouping options at all.

The way I have my main page laid out is on the left I have 3 Node List - Custom Grouping & Filtering sections. One is for my network devices, one for servers, one for printers and named them accordingly. I used custom property editor and created two new fields, one for location and one for device type. This allows me to use the filter and grouping options to look kinda like the demo on solarwinds site. I set level 1 to the location field I created, then I filter nodes based on the device type field I created.
Hope that helps or at least gets you going in the right direction.
