Question: Volume Monitoring / Alerts

Question.

I have a server/node and under "All Alerts This Object Can Trigger" there are 3 alerts listed. One for node down, one for node rebooted, and another for node down wth an email.

The C:\ partition on this node ran out of disk space. I have an alert for volume space <1% configured as follows.

When I look at the details of the node I only see 3 alerts the node can trigger.

My first question is are volumes treated as separate objects from the nodes? (appears to be the case).

My second question, can anyone explain why my <1% alert did not trigger for that volume and node?

That widget only refers to the node itself, not children.

Not sure about your alert, 1% seems like a really narrow margin though

@mesverrum is completely right here. (How could he NOT be? LOL)

But, have you tried clicking on the volume name? because when you do, this will bring you to the Volume Details page, and there you will be seeing the 'Alerts this object can trigger' for the volume.

testing for 1% is i guess not correct.. try increasing it... or try this way-> volume space used is greater than 50 %
Regd alerts not visible in widget, Yes that widget shows for the device(parent)... for volumes please go that object and u may see the information u are looking for...
