Alerts not emailing when triggered

Hello,

I have set up the alerts to send an email to me when they are triggered. The tests of these alerts works just fine. When something happens on the network, nothing is sent out. It doesn't even try. Have I missed a check mark somewhere? I'm running 9.5.

Helinut,

If you post a screenshot of your trigger conditions and a brief description of what you want to accomplish, someone will be able to assist you. Otherwise, you have not posted enough information to get a reliable answer. The only checkmark i know about is the one to enable/disable the alert.

Yeah, I figured there wasn't any other check marks to do. It should just work, but it doesn't. I'm not trying to do anything special whatsoever. Just to get alerts working. Nothing special about what I've set up, it's just a basic alert.

A screen shot would just show the alert screen. But I can throw one up if need be.

Please dont post it if it doesnt show anything relevant. Perhaps you could just state your conditions generically...

Check mark "Email me when a node goes down". The device is marked in "Monitored network objects". This is the default alarm that comes with NPM. My email address is entered along with all smtp info. If I test the alarm, the email comes in on down and up tests. If the event happens naturally, it never sends an email.
