Discovery has failed due to the following: Import Failed - License Exceeded

OK, this one is a puzzle. No details on WHICH license was exceeded, however, looking at all the current licenses used, none are maxed out. The closest is NCM at 99 out of 100, but the discovery did not include any devices to be managed by NCM. Orion Platform has 2100 of which there are 547 nodes and 1437 volumes. Do I add the two together, or is that 2100 nodes and 2100 volumes? NPM has 2000 interfaces and 1576 are in use, and the discovery showed only 4.

Where do I find the log that tells me which license was exceeded? The link under summary just refreshes the summary page.

I recommend you open a ticket and reference my ticket. it may help speed things along if they have additional data from another implementation/instance.

Sounds like you have an older license still associated to your servers. Install the license manager and remove entries that are not your current license. Or take a gander at the license details page, see if anything there shows which license is giving you issues.

Thats the issue, none of the licenses show an overage. The server is almost a year old, and is on its original licensing, so I know it isn't that.

Have you ran the license manager? I'm interested to see if there are discrepancies there.

OK, resolved, I finally located what tells me what exactly failed. It pulled up our two core routers during discovery and tried to add 500+ interfaces, which exceeded the NPM license. I needed to log in as admin, and click the link under notifications which then directed me to where I needed to look. It is listed under Scheduled Discovery Results tab under Network Discovery. Can only see that when logged in as admin since I have all other logins under AD accounts with no administer rights.

Still doesn't explain why when you click on the link under summary it just refreshes the screen, so that seems like a bug.

Can you, please attach the screenshot, which link is the not working one? However it looks like you had different issue than njoylif or maybe rather say user-experience issue than functional one, right?

Well, since it has been resolved, that link is no longer under the Summary page. I have the All Active Alerts box in the upper left corner where it lists the alerts, and the link I tried is under Triggering Object. When I clicked that link, all that happened was the summary screen reloaded. I'm running 12.0 on Orion 2016.1.0

Looks like we nailed the issue with UDT discovery plugin. I'll now do some testing to confirm the findings and let you know then. However I'm glad you can import now, although it's about workarounds :-(
