UnDP status on maps in NetworkAtlas

Hi,

Now that Network Atlas has repalce Map Maker is it possible to have the contents of a UnDP status on a map, ideally as a label, but I'd settle for a tooltip.

It looks like this would be possible using variables, but I cant seem to get it to work.

guys, NPM 10.6 beta is out with this feature. is there some volunteer that may install and provide a feedback this week?

It's not yet possible to get UnDP info onto a map. This is definitely something we are looking at though.

Any update on this thread? I too would like to be able to display Universal Device Poller results on a Network Atlas Map. Related to this, and perhaps more important, I would like to be able to define status thresholds (Up, Warning, Down etc) on Custom pollers so that any node with a custom poller assigned to it would reflect a child status representative of the diminished condition.

Example:

Let's take a temp sensor on a router for instance... If a temp sensor returns a value greater than say '55' (55 deg celcius) this could equal a 'warn' child status. If that same poller returns a value greater than say '60' (60 deg celcius) this could equal a 'down' child status. With these conditions shown as child status' for associated nodes it would serve to address the original request of this thwack thread. Any map containing a node with an assigned custom poller would reflect a 'problem' associated to these assigned custom pollers.

That will be super.

I have some group of pepole that need only some information from devices like power or temp.

If they have a Map with only that info its make thier live easyer.

Add another to the list.. I have some UnDP pollers setup for the building's UPS and Generator Run status.. Would be quite handy to get these values to reflect on our NOC maps somehow..

Its in the list so no worry :-)

I just hope SW woun't change "Atlas" to someting else.. like the "New Map maker"

and that will restart that case ones more.

Can we please get an update on this?

It will help me use the real estate on the 55" monitor at work

Also, it will allow us to monitor some connection based stats within our network, and on Citrix.

Example Use Case.

Load Balancer Virtual IP addresses are the key for the service to work. But there is no way to show in on the map.

i would love this too,

when you have a stack of 3750's you can poll each individual switch, and creating a map object for each OID of the stack, would be perfect
